Welcome to the Garden!

Thanks for stopping by!  To see what we are doing and get frequently-updated information on events in the garden, including kid’s activities and classes, free movie nights, Halloween events, community gatherings, volunteer days and more, just click on the garden’s Facebook page there on the right side of your screen, or click here.

April 1 to October 31 the garden is typically open to the public, weather permitting, if and when a garden member is present and hosting Monday-Thursday 5:30pm-8pm, Friday 5:30pm-10pm, Saturday 9am-10pm, Sunday 9am-8pm.

Interested in getting involved?  Just stop in the garden and say hi!

All garden members, with or without assigned plots, are required to volunteer a minimum of 4 hours per month April through October.  A request to be put on a waiting list for an assigned plot can be made by emailing electricladybugharlem@gmail.com.  Please note that priority for plot assignments, if available, is given to current garden members in good standing without plots who are regularly volunteering 4 hours per month. Free Movie Night #2: Despicable Me

Our second Kids’ Movie Night will be held on September 11, 2015 at 7:30 p.m. (weather permitting)

Who: Kids of all ages (birth to 99)
Movie: Despicable Me
Where: In the garden at 237 West 111th Street (FDB Blvd. & Adam Clayton Powell Blvd)

We will project Despicable Me onto a wall in the garden.  Please bring your own blanket to sit on. If you bring chairs or other elevated seating, we kindly ask that you sit toward the back of the seating area so that we can maintain an unobstructed view for all community members.
Bug repellent is highly recommended.

Our Change.org Petition is here! Please sign to save the garden!

Our online petition to save the garden is taking off like wildfire!  It literally takes seconds to help save our community garden in Harlem.  It’s incredibly easy to do and it could be what makes the difference and saves the garden.  Please click on the button below and you will be taken right to the page!
